Buffalo Cauliflower Florets

Do you crave some chicken wings? That delicious attraction that invades your senses since you see them coming out of the kitchen, the moment when that smell of BBQ invades your nose, that you feel the crunchy texture and the delicious spicy taste on your lips is irresistible, right? Try Buffalo Cauliflower Florets.

And if I told you … that there are healthier ways to enjoy that experience? What if I told you that there is a vegetable that you usually overlook in the market and that can bring you hundreds of benefits, including culinary enjoyment in a healthy way?

You will be wondering why to try another alternative. Well, the reason is simple, you do not have the metabolism of a teenager forever.

Your arteries will sooner or later start to take your toll on all those times you said “only this one and that’s it”, and you kept eating. And if you came to this site, it is because you are becoming aware that the lifestyle you lead may not be the best, or perhaps your health has made you realize and you are living the collateral damage of a prolonged nutritional imbalance.

Then it is likely that there are certain concepts that you should take into account from now on. Calories, carbohydrates, trans fats, probiotics, and prebiotics could be some of them.

Let’s start with the last two that, if you have already read about them on the internet, you may be a bit confused.

Probiotics are bacteria or microorganisms housed in our intestinal flora. They are considered “good bacteria” because they carry out some important biological processes such as helping us to maintain our ideal weight or reduce excess weight, control anxiety, improve the immune response against external microorganisms, solve allergic problems and improve the digestive function itself, that just to mention a few.

By hormonal changes due to age, stress and the compilation of bad habits that we have been carrying for years -even decades-, in the digestive system we may begin to see the negative changes or collateral damage or, in other words, the wear and tear product of poor diet.

And then, from one day to the next, you stand up and say: “From today I will lead a different life, a healthy life”. You sign up at the gym and you start right away, you drink your morning coffee without milk, cream or sugar, you drink only water instead of alternating with some juice or soda and you eat an insipid meal with a couple of leaves of lettuce without dressing, It’s barely half the afternoon and you already feel like you want to die.

While making sudden decisions regarding a life improvement is good, making a gradual change is good – and so, you do not feel that you betray yourself either-

Therefore, starting with substitutes for habitual foods that fool our senses, can be a great plan.

Vegan cauliflower wings, for example, are a great way to replace that traditional, delicious – but sometimes addictive – and definitely unhealthy food. They are easy to prepare and will trick all your senses while eating low in calories and with great nutritional benefits.

All you need is a head of cauliflower, vegetable oil, buffalo sauce, bbq sauce, wheat flour, baking powder, garlic powder, salt, paprika, and water or beer.

You can prepare them fried, in an air fryer or baked – the latter is the best option -.

Just mix all the ingredients – the ones I mentioned after the sauces – in a bowl and store it in the fridge for fifteen minutes once you have reached a thick consistency similar to that of the pancakes.

After washing and chopping the cauliflower, prepare the frying pot with the oil or preheat the oven. In case you make them in oil, you must first cover with the mixture that you left in the fridge and then fry, and when you remove them, you bathe them with the sauce. If baked, first bake, then bathe in the mixture, dip in the sauces and bake again.

Sure, your mouth was already watering, and hey! You did it thinking of a vegetable!

That shows that fooling your senses can be easier – and delicious – than it seems.

I hope you enjoy this prescription and start your change in a moderate way, that you manage to change your eating habits, and consequently: Your life!
